Bramble is a landscape design studio working in harmony with the Pacific Northwest.

Every garden begins with a long, slow conversation — about how you live and how light moves across the site. From there, we draw, build, and tend.
Site studies, planting plans, and full construction documents for residential gardens that age beautifully into their surroundings.
Stone paths, timber structures, water features, and native plantings — installed by a small in-house crew with a craftsman's hand.
Seasonal maintenance, pruning, soil work, and editing. We tend each garden as if it were one of our own.
Reintroducing Pacific Northwest natives — sword fern, vine maple, salal — for gardens that support pollinators and birdlife.
Hand-set bluestone, basalt, and gravel paths laid with patient detail and a respect for the way a foot wants to travel.
Low-voltage path lighting and efficient drip irrigation, specified and installed to disappear into the planting.
A small selection from recent seasons — each one drawn, built and tended by the same set of hands.

Plant palettes drawn from the Cascades, the Sound, and the rainshadow valleys.
The hands that draw your garden are the hands that build and tend it.
We design for the way a garden looks in year ten, not the day after install.

A bench, a maple, and the patience to wait for both.

Every project begins on cream paper at the Ballard bench. We sketch, walk the site, sketch again — and only then break ground. The result is a garden that feels written for its place, not dropped onto it.
A small studio takes a small radius. We work within roughly an hour of our shop in Ballard.
“Bramble drew a garden that feels like it was always here. Three seasons in and we're already planning the next phase with them.”
“The plant choices are extraordinary. Our garden looks beautiful in February — something I never thought I'd say about a Seattle yard.”
“Quiet, thoughtful crew. They left the garden cleaner than they found it every single day of a four-month build.”
A short note is all we need to start. We'll be in touch within two business days to schedule a site visit.
