Gardens,
considered.

Bramble is a landscape design studio working in harmony with the Pacific Northwest.

Services

The craft, in three
movements.

Every garden begins with a long, slow conversation — about how you live and how light moves across the site. From there, we draw, build, and tend.

01

Garden Design

Site studies, planting plans, and full construction documents for residential gardens that age beautifully into their surroundings.

02

Landscape Build

Stone paths, timber structures, water features, and native plantings — installed by a small in-house crew with a craftsman's hand.

03

Garden Care

Seasonal maintenance, pruning, soil work, and editing. We tend each garden as if it were one of our own.

04

Native Restoration

Reintroducing Pacific Northwest natives — sword fern, vine maple, salal — for gardens that support pollinators and birdlife.

05

Stonework & Paths

Hand-set bluestone, basalt, and gravel paths laid with patient detail and a respect for the way a foot wants to travel.

06

Lighting & Irrigation

Low-voltage path lighting and efficient drip irrigation, specified and installed to disappear into the planting.

Selected Work

Gardens we have
made together.

A small selection from recent seasons — each one drawn, built and tended by the same set of hands.

Why Bramble

A quieter way of working with land.

Native-first

Plant palettes drawn from the Cascades, the Sound, and the rainshadow valleys.

One studio, one crew

The hands that draw your garden are the hands that build and tend it.

Patient timelines

We design for the way a garden looks in year ten, not the day after install.

Inside the studio

Drawn by hand,
built by the same hands.

Every project begins on cream paper at the Ballard bench. We sketch, walk the site, sketch again — and only then break ground. The result is a garden that feels written for its place, not dropped onto it.

Kind words

From the gardens we've made.

Bramble drew a garden that feels like it was always here. Three seasons in and we're already planning the next phase with them.
Margaret & David L.Madison Park
The plant choices are extraordinary. Our garden looks beautiful in February — something I never thought I'd say about a Seattle yard.
Annika P.Bainbridge Island
Quiet, thoughtful crew. They left the garden cleaner than they found it every single day of a four-month build.
